Sutter Medical Group is seeking a General Orthopedic Surgeon to join a well-established orthopedic practice based at Sutter Davis Hospital.
This opportunity replaces a highly productive surgeon and offers immediate access to an established patient panel, strong referral relationships, and significant surgical volume within a growing community. The incoming physician will join a collaborative orthopedic team supported by experienced advanced practice clinicians, dedicated surgical staff, and a stable referral network. The practice provides an excellent balance of elective joint replacement, fracture care, and community orthopedic surgery, creating an attractive opportunity for a surgeon seeking both clinical autonomy and long-term practice growth.
Clinical Scope & Case Mix
Broad-spectrum General Orthopedic Surgery
Emphasis on:
Total Hip Arthroplasty
Total Knee Arthroplasty
Acute fracture management
Community-based orthopedic trauma
Hip fracture care
Emergency Department orthopedic consultations
Opportunity to support local high school athletics and sports-related injuries
Existing orthopedic specialties within the group include:
Foot & Ankle Surgery
Hand, Wrist & Elbow Surgery
Ability to develop areas of clinical interest while maintaining a strong general orthopedic practice
Practice Environment
Established practice with immediate patient volume
Approximately 300 encounters per month including clinic and surgical activity
Strong historical productivity with the departing physician consistently performing above the 85th percentile
Outpatient clinic based at Sutter Davis Hospital campus
Efficient surgical scheduling and block time availability
Mix of elective procedures and acute orthopedic care
Support & Resources
Two dedicated Advanced Practice Clinicians supporting the orthopedic service
APC support includes:
Outpatient clinic management
Pre- and post-operative care
Surgical first assist responsibilities
Dedicated operating room and clinic staff
Established referral base from primary care and specialty physicians throughout the region
Collaborative physician team with strong local reputation
